The piece explores cultural clash, specifically, the tension between the ethics of religious diet, and the individual right to dietary autonomy. The raw discomfort my brother showed by asking permission to eat meat, an act of dissection into our household traditions, manifested itself in the making of this piece, for which I, as a vegan, touched chicken for the first time.
