This piece was inspired by my experiences helping with free vision screenings for members of my community. I learned that many people who came to the clinic could not afford to receive regular eye checkups or prescriptions for glasses. The lightbulbs in this piece stand as a beacon for change: to illuminate the issue, to advocate for equitable healthcare for all, and to show that it often just takes one spark to light the fire of change.
